(It's a teenage thread, you will have to refrain from this type posting after the first of the month.)

Ok, I have to make a comment because one of my dream vehicles is a Lightning and seeing that it is not uncommon for a L owner to be less than 20 I’m going crazy trying to figure out how a 20 year old gets his hands on a 28k+ truck.
This is my bitter opinion, please let me know if you “under 20 year old L owners” fit into one of these categories. If you are less than 20 and own a lightning then I believe you own an L due to one or more of the following:
A. Mommy and Daddy bought it for you ………but “you” pay for the insurance. I love that one.
B. You have a decent job, bought the L with your own money, but still live with Mommy and Daddy.
C. You deal some sort of drug.
D. Grandma or Grandpa croaked and you did the “smart” thing by investing the money in a new L.
Sorry to seem bitter but seeing as how I am 25, have a college degree that I paid for, make decent money and still am not even remotely able to afford an L I am stupefied when I here that someone who is less than 20 years old has one.

dude, please don't put it in "mommy & daddy" terms, that just makes you seem super jealous or something....
yes most of us under 21 still live at home, and i live with my mom, dad's gone divorce action...
this is the way i think of it: 2 choices:
A: Live on my own so i can say hey im 20 and live on my own, but i have to drive a POS honda or used xxxxx.
or
B: Live at home with my single mother do all the yard work and other handyman stuff that she cant do being over 50, get free rent and save up all my money that i make at my job and buy a lightning, and a USED Cobra (not new)...
which would you pick?? exactly!
so you see the mom/dad crowd that get gifts like cars, they dont drive lightings, they drive SUV's and Foreign cars that are convertibles, (at least the ones i know).
so i do pay for it myself, and i get good insurance prices because of me living at home, i mean why would i want to move?? it's just me and my mom...... the house is over 2000 sq ft and we sleep on opposite sides of the house, we have our own bathrooms and we live on the lake where i can go wave running or party boat (pontoon) style....
i dont know why i have to explain this, but i always have to because of people that have this chip on there shoulder because they moved out at 18 or whenever they did just to get there so called "freedom" but as you probably know freedom has a price. same thing with my brother he's 25 and moved out at 19 (he couldn't wait) he was doing ok for himself, then he bought a bigger house, had to get rid of a mustang he had, and drives a newer explorer, but hey if he wanted a mustang or a lightning, all he would have to do is downsize the house..... or if he would have saved more money and lived at home for another year.... do the math $600/month house payment.... thats over $7000 he could have saved for a down payment on a car or something down the line......
