Cool No mods to the Toy for a long time, just had LASIK

Had LASIK surgery on both eyes on Wednesday the 5th and just got back from a celabatory dinner after my one day exam today, I have 20/16 vision now and that's day after surgery results. Other than a PCV kit of some kind, I guess I won't be doing any mods to the truck for a while, possibly till the end of the year or next since my play money is ALL gone. But with the results the way they are so far and the doctor saying that they should last me for the rest of my life I will have to say it was definately worth it. Just thought I would share my experience and say one more thing, if you are thinking about doing something like this just remember you only get one set of eyes, so shopping around for the best price is not the way to go here, you want the doctor with the best skills and most experience.

Later,
Bill

Bill congratts on the new eyes

I did it two years ago, and it was one of the best things I have ever done.

Don't get discouraged, if you have a little setback the first week or two, that can be pritty normal. Also many people have a halo effect at night, I had it, and thats what took the longest to go away.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Don

one of my best friends, josh had that done... he was so blind, that the "one hour" glasses place in the mall had to send off for his lenses.. they didn't even make contacts to correct his eyes, they were so bad!

now after the lasik surgery, he has 20/20! he can't buy any toys for a while, but he can see!

20/650 ... With astigmatism and progressive myopia. I had
it done when it was still experimental.... I am 20.20 still 7 years
later. My arms need to grow a bit longer though ... <grin>

Clonetek, they used to charge me three times the regular
price for my lenses. I asked why once, and the guy told me it
was because they woudl ruin two outta three very expensive
blanks before they got one right ...

Just had Lasik about a month and 1/2 ago....was like 20/40 w/ astigmatism.....I have close to 20/15 in my right but my left is still blurry, doc says I may need a followup procedure in 6mos. no worries....even with the little blurryness, I'd do it all over again.

Hardest part of the surgery for me was the intense light used to illuminate the area...my eye kept trying to roll back in my head to get away from it! the pressure they put on your eyes to cut the flap isn't bad...feels like somebody gave your eyes a squeeze and it's only for 10seconds.

I'm a really big wimp when it comes to stuff going in my eyes too....but it was done really fast. I would definitely recommend it.

00 SVT Toy,

A friend had this done about a year ago, and called me from his cell phone the next morning on his way to work. He was ecstatic that he could see the speed limit signs, although he never really paid attention to them anyway

He's been happy with his eyes ever since, and threw his glasses into the trash.

Good luck buddy, I hope you never forget how good the first day was!

Tim
