If you need tires, check these websites...
My baby needs new shoes, so lately I've been searching around for options and good deals since I will probably be selling it shortly, and have been keeping track of where I found what. Here is a list of about eight (8) websites I've found that offer different brands of tires in the general size(s) we need. Some sites you've obviously heard of, but others probably not. I didn't start thread for people to give opinions about different brands of tires (since there are already a ton of those on here). I started it so that once you've narrowed down the list of tires you're interested in, you can refer to one thread for a list of websites that sell tires for our truck to shop around. Feel free to add any websites you've found that I've missed, but please don't clutter this thread with long discussions about any given make of tire.
The only webiste that I've bought stuff from before is #2 below (treadepot.com), but that doesn't mean you should stray away from the others and not at least take a look. To tell you the truth, based upon what I found, I'm going to be buying tires from one of the lesser known sites below within the next few days.
So without further adieu, here are the sites I've found:
1. http://www.tirerack.com
2. http://www.treadepot.com
3. http://www.discounttiredirect.com
4. http://www.onlinetires.com
5. http://www.seffects.com
6. http://www.1010tires.com
7. http://www.emiperformance.com
8. http://www.customwheelsmarket.com
As of right now (March 6, 2003), some prices I've found are:
* Goodyear Eagle F1's 295/45-18 for $197 from #1 above.
* Toyo Proxes S/T's 295/45-18 for $179 from #2 above.
* Toyo Proxes S/T's 285/60-18 for $143 from #2 above.
* Toyo Proxes S/T's 305/60-18 for $171 from #5 above.
* Pirelli Scorpion Zero's 285/50-18 for $149 from #2 above.
* Nitto 404's 285/50-18 for $133 from #4 above.
* Yokohama AVT S/T's 285/50-18 for $182 from #1 above.
* Falken Zeix ST/Z's 285/60-18 for $147 from #7 above.
Hope this helps.

PS/FWIW- I ended up ordering Nitto NT-404's (285/50-VR18) from onlinetires.com for $133 each, with the total for four (4) tires to my door coming out to under $610.
