it might be helpful to know where you are asking about... (Alaska might have different ideas from Arizona and different from Florida?)
and, what your qualifications/experience is...

as probleminfected said: it is better to get "any" job so you can paid while you look for a better one. (some pay is better than no pay)

$8 and up, thats not really shooting that high. I would think you could work anywhere for $8 and hour. Can you afford a Lightning on that kind of money??

rough neck. Pay's great but the work is a bit rougher. That, or be an accountant. I'm shure you can do some ABC costing and cross paper cut shreading.

Where are you located, what sort of background do you have, education?
With the right qualifications, we are always willing to consider people who are ready to work.

depending on your age you could try bartending. rough hours but it's an interesting job and if you work your game enough it's a different broad every nite (work nites at least )

however i'm a strong proponent of a good college education. i'm in the process of earning mine and it's been a great experience. i'm learning more about dealing with people, responsibilities, deadlines, etc. than i ever have...and it's a blast! (only the "meeting people" aka drinking at a party...not the deadlines aka exams and projects )

Go apply at Brown (UPS), they always need some part time employees.
