Jerry,

Jim I swear I was not trying to be a smart *** with the CNC remark!
No offense taken, I'm glad you pointed it out to me. I even corrected it in my post.

Jim, how much is a full engine package going for? 03 block, good rods, pistons, heads? do you have a exchange program for my messed 02 heads where i would get some credit for them? hopefully my motor will be fine but in the even the plugs fly out or the rods go i doubt ill mess with warranty.
Yes, we do offer an exchange for your heads, block, and crank. We take the old style heads and add thread sets to them whihc will give them 10 threads per spark plug hole. We have done this on quite a few heads already.

As far as pricing. Since there are so many different combinations it is best to call the shop to work out a specific price for your setup.

Thanks,

Jim@JDM

Talking JDM built motor

Everyone,

Without a doubt the wait was well worth it! Considering this is the first time out with cold air and traction, FFW Orlando had horrible conditions, pulling off an 11.23 is beautiful

Thanks to everyone @ JDM and all the R & D that went into their design. Jim assures me there is still more that can be had in the current setup. Adding gears and tweeking the tune should net some interesting results. I hope to find out this weekend. After that I will be discussing other options with Jim to see just how fast this thing can go

See ya at the track!

I swear to Christ, I am never going to get this engine finished!

Jim,
I have a 01 Navi block as the basis for an engine build, and plan a .020 over bore, so is this a concern or should I start with an 03 block?

The 03 block is a much beefier block. There is nothing wrong with your 01 block. The reason why I prefer the 03 is for better clamp mode for the head gaskets.

Hope this helps,

Jim,
Is the 03 5.4 block the same in all 5.4 trucks, or is this block just for the L, and do you have a part number?

Thanks

Jim,
What are you doing to make this possible? Welding and retapping? What type of inserts are you using?

The inserts are made by Heli-Coil. They give you a special tap with them. You just tap each hole and insert the Heli-Coils.
