Nice pics. What did the other silver one run and was it stock? Also what was your 60 ft time. Your running et streets correct?

thundergod,

Yeah ET Streets, traction is not good at the track yet, 60 foot time was a pretty slow 2.1.

The other L had catback, cold air kit and a 100 shot of nos.

He is a cool guy, he could only hit the nos after he got into second gear.

Hilander,

What did he do in the 1/4 with the NOS? Was it because of traction that he had to hit it in second? Did you spin at all with the street slicks? sorry so many questions.

thundergod,

np, he ran 13.69 with the nos. He had street tires on. So yes a lack of grip caused him not to hit the 100 shot until second gear.

Yes I still spun with the ET Streets. The track prep is very poor. With these tires I should see 1.8 or so up here. Thats if I get off the line propery on a well prepped track

I see by your other post that you have your truck back on the road. Did you do the intake work yourself?

My truck is still down. I ran that Z28 about a week ago, right before i started the work. I pulled off my filter to blow it out one day and noticed that my throttle body was coated in oil. So i figured that the intercooler and blower were probably full of it too. Since i was gonna pull everything off anyways to clean it, i decided to port, polish, and port match everything. Im doing the port work myself. It's real easy, just very time consuming. Gonna do the intake, blower and throtttlebody. I made a few runs with the new gtech competition and it was quite accurate and consistent. Ill have some numbers to compare to after, so Ill let you know if It was worth the work. Have any more mods planned for your baby? Next for me is a valve body for my tranny I think.

Nice ET Hilander,
Man that is one awesome view you got there looking up into those mountains. Nice Run, Fast Beautiful Truck you got there.

My home track is the most beat up worn out track you ever saw, but man oh man does it have traction. 1.8/1.9 60ft on F-1's
"every time I made a pass with the L" except for "one" 2.0
This is the last year "and the last track we had they're closing" here in NY where we live,
****ING BUILDERS, I truly wish there was a way to protest this.
I guess my racing days will be over this year unless I want to truck out of state everytime I want to make a pass. That aint happening, I am soooooooo pissed off about it.
Thats why I bought slicks, bars, T/B, Plasma Booster, Juice, etc
I guess it's time for my 11 second run this season and then hang up the helmet

thundergod,

I was thinking the same thing a line mod. But i am not one to mess with the tranny.
So as I am still on side one of the chip I think I may go get a few dyno runs in, see if side 2 is safe to run.
Then maybe the larger cooler for the intercooler, should come in handy this summer.
Right now the truck is sleeping in the garage, 3 days of snow and rain here haha, guess we need it though.

Rob,

Thanks, thats too bad about your track closing. Our one just reopend after 2 years. Previous to the last couple of weeks I had not been on a track since Ennis Texas 2001.
Can't wait to see your 11 sec pass with the go go juice

Hilander: Good pics, and great times! I ran the day after you, still no traction, what ya gonna do? I am surprised your ET Streets didn't give you a better 60' time, but still your ET was great. What was your MPH? I'd like to get together and compare notes/mods, maybe we can all learn something.
BTW thundergod and I will be goning to Speed Dreams sometime soon for a dyno run, maybe we can do a Lightning strike on them (they are mainly a chevy crowd, but still OK)

For comparison my best run was a 13.78 @ 106.16, with a 2.15 60' on pretty new F1's.

So with simular 60' times you whupped me by 2 tenths. Let's talk tunes
