What is the ULTIMATE suspension setup?
Okay guys, heres the deal...
Basically I want to have my ride lowered (probably 2/4,-3/4), and I know all about the bell-tech and FRPP kits and what not. My question is, what all do I need to get besides the kit? Like what are some good shocks? Springs? Or does all this come in the kit?
Basically, I want it to look nice, but handle much better than stock!
Also, if I go for handling, will that hurt 60ft performance? Is there some trade-off??
Let me know guys! I want this thread to have all the info anyone needs to make their L look mean, and also handle with some top sports cars...
THANKS!!!

You have to pick wether you want 60ft more or road-handling more, because different changes will lean it different ways.
If you are looking for a middle of the road, drop the rear using a hanger change, notch the frame, and put on QA1 shocks but stick with the stock springs.
Any significant drop will not help your 60' times because weight transfer, but notching the frame should still give you some leverage motion. You might as RobG about how he went about making his lowered-compatible sway bar, the others (hotchkis and such) won't fit on a 4" drop too well.
If you put QA1's on the front, you can make the front compress very hard, while making the rear easy. This will give you the rock back and slow the return motion, helping your launch.
On my road-racing pirelli's, with the front shocks hard and the rears soft, I had consistent 2.2's as 60' times.
If you want a top of the line road-handling, there is the REAL expensive option of getting the Jag/Thunderbird IRS that Ruslow runs from the guy up in Oregon.
About $3000 less then that is a nice 3-way adjustible penske setup you can run.
About $800 less then that is the QA1 setup.
Springs...well, road race wise, ROUSH is nice, Hotchkis is a little off, but not bad (so I'm told), and Ruslow can make you whatever rate you want to tune your truck to, so the options are there.
Road handling requires stiffining things up, which dosn't nessecarily translate the best for the strip.

Does anyone know what the QA1s are going for (front/rear)?
How about the Roush kit what are the #s like for that kit, and the drop #s as well??
One more ? has anyone heard anything about the Koni shocks?
Sorry about all the questions but im in the middle of doing some suspension research as well for my next mod. But sadly enough the funds are a little low after the purchase of another quad, so im going for the best bang for the buck route.
Thanks
