#8 coil pack

I was driving to the Ford dealer to get my warrantied rear taillights installed and my L starts running rough like it was missing. Dealer keeps my L overnight and tells me that #8 coil pack was bad. I had that same coil pack replaced less than a year ago. Is this common problem?

if that is the plug in the pass. side toward the back, YES, in that location the ford quick disconnect heater hose connection leaks onto the coil and will cause premature failure..

The #8 coil pack is the difficult one to remove because the 7mm screw is under the fuel rail where it connects with the fuel lines to the tank. It is the rear one on the driver side.
