They say you learn something new everyady...I'm good for a week

First off I had a blast today at Cecil dragway and I did not even race.
The weather was perfect and the place was loaded with Lightnings , Cobras and Harleys.
I got to drive the Cobra there with the top down and it was a blast. I am liking this car more and more.
I lot of KBs in the house. About 4 Cobras with them, 4 lightnings and a couple Harleys. Seems to be a popular blower around these parts.
I am sure new low E.Ts were set for a lot of people.
No 10s for the Lightnings, but Eric (99svtlightning) had an 11.1 (so close) and our very own Fast Gator banged out an 12.07. For those keeping track , that is a 7 second improvement over the last time he ran.
Nitrous Pete(03 Cobra, KB and Juice) hit the 9s with a 9.99 at @144 MPH (DAMN).
A 03 Harley w/ a built motor and KB ran an 11.67.

I went to JDMs afterwards and got to hang out with Stan Martin(RUSLOW) which BTW means ARE YOU SLOW (I did not know that).
and see his truck. He was nice enough to take it out of the trailer and went pretty much over every piece of the truck. This guy knows his stuff and he is very straight forward. Thanks again Stan for the tour of your Lightning.

I can not wait for April 12th to do it again and see old friends again and meet new ones.

I will post some pics soon.

Look there's me way in the background looking over my truck. Finally raced today for the first time (against Gator yet). I don't think I did to bad with a 13.7 bone stock. Only got one run in because I didn't have a helmet. Had a blast, great turn out hope to see every one there on the 12th. Gator sorry to here you didn't get into the 11's. Thanks again for all the help and tips before I ran I really appreciated it .

Wish I could've made it, we needed some Gen1 representation there. It's pretty bad when your company forgets to mail you a paycheck, so you can't even cover the $10 spectator fee

Yeah, it would be an understatment, to say it was a fun filled day.

I'll tell, these trucks are so fu*king great, they make me want to . Drive two hours, throw some rubbers on the back, knock off a 12.075 @ 112.27, beat SouthJersey Fred, then drive two home and watch a replay of the Bucs kicking the Eagles butt
Seriously Fred, Thanks for the offer to use your front tires in trying to hit that magic number

A Special THANK YOU to Jim and Shawn at JDM for their expertise in tuning and problem solving
So now I can honestly say, I have the fastest plywood hauler at the Home Depot in Linden

Wish you would have made it down Rob, it was a blast! Got to see the JL Crew once again and meet some new folks. Sorry Crp_Diem, I forgot your name (Can't remember Luke, Paul???)

I will be better prepared on the 12th with new rubbers to make that elusive number. Can't wait........must spend money

Till the 12th, I bid a farewell to my Lightning Bros
