painting side view mirrors...what do u think??

painting side view mirrors...what do u think??

i have a 99 L and the side view mirrior covers are black, well I got a scatch on my drivers side one and I am debating just painting the round circle part on the cover like the 01-03 or painting the whole cover? Have u guys ever seen them this way? What do yall think??

Im just going to paint the whole thing. Steve (TampaBlack) did the JB weld thing but its a ton of work. Lots of bondo and smoothing. The plastic can be smoother by wet sanding with a various grit levels to make it nice and paintable. You can buy just the caps in whatever color you want though if you just want to do those. I dont know where to get them but somone on here should.

Check my gallery for pics of the mirrors. I also will soon have no plastic left on my truck, all the parts are being sanded and preped right now as I type. The rate I am going there will be no unpainted plastic parts in the inside also.
