Need opinions/help about my broken plug...

Ok here's the deal, I'm assuming it's cylinder #4 (rear cylinder on passenger's side) had a spark plug break off in the head. So my garage is full right now while working on my mustang, so I take the L to the dealer and have them pull the head to replace the plug. Come to find out the plug is siezed in the head (i broke 5 craftsman sockets on an easy out trying to get it out). Now this is a factory plug which means it's a factory defect right? So my warranty has expired because of the 36 months, however I just hit 30k miles so this problem would have never been found out until now. Shouldn't Ford pay to fix this ($2200) ??? I've called Consumer Affairs and they just tell me to hold onto the receipts incase of a recall and I can get reimbursed ( ya right!) Anybody have any input??

I would see what the dealer is going to do and ask about them
paying for it under warranty since it sounds like a pre existing
problem. Even though you are over 36 months you are still under
the mileage the dealer may just work with you. If not make a
stink about it. I know I would.

Claim it under pre-existing problem. If you were not the one changing plugs in meantime that plug was probably seized from day one. If plugs were changed then person that did last change is responsible for it.
