Rob02 sold me on the Zex kit.

Rob should get kickbacks from ZEX, he has the same year truck as me with similar mods so I was kinda watching him to see how his truck responded to the spray. I basically wanted to see if he ventilated his block by spraying it. with all his positive feedback on the kit and his recent times he posted I think he sold me so I'm going to order the ZEX kit sometime next week. Rob ran a 12.0 I have a few different mods than he, what'd guys think I'll run, assuming good 60 ft times. here are my current mods

full JDM exhaust, 4 lb lower, Efan/Pump, CIA, ported stock TB and Plenum, 410's, valve body, JDM J39 program(I am paranoid so I had them give me a safe program) on 94 octane, Jl traction bars, Nitto DR, removed hitch and spare, I have the roush kit also if that matters it seems the rear springs were alot lighter than the stockers.

I plan to either make or buy a heat spacer for the upper plenum, haven't decided if I want to pay $90 for JDM's yet.

and when I add the ZEX kit I'll proabably keep it at 50 maybe 65. what do you all think I'll run if I spray?

11.8 first shot out with slicks
You should be at least 2 or even 3 tenths faster than me.
And believe me when I tell you I have ""a safe tune""
Remember I'm always tuned (richer) for 2lbs more of pulley
"than I run", Tuned for 6 "running 4"
I insist on my programs to run on 93 pump gas
(but I run racing fuel at the track)
I use 2 ranges colder plugs, and I now change my fuel filter
with every 3k oil change.
I can use either program with all gas, "or" I can run it at the track with either program on gas or gas and nitrous, and I can juice it on 20 degree nights with no detonation. Another words, I have Low Timing, and Low A/F's. I'm being as safe as I can while still acheiving my goal of 11.9

Glad to hear you may go for the Zex Wkuper11
I love the fact that I only stress it at the track or racing, and not 24/7 like higher boost or other Aftermarket Mods. Plus it'll run easy 12's on F-1's with no juice on full street trim (Been there, Done that at the track)

BEST OF LUCK

I have been eyeing the Zex kit for a long time now... since I first saw it at REM about 6 months ago or so. When I saw that Rob was going for the kit, I was just as excited as he was about it. Everything people have said about the kit, Rob said aswell, so I know its all true. The Zex Wet kit is in my VERY near future!

P.S. Rob, get to work on that site man! Its lookin kinda... plain and... needs more STUFF! Just messin with ya

I know Mike, what happen was I bought the name Robs02Ligthning.com for like 19.99 a yr and it cam with that free 3
page site. But it only allows 6 pictures on two pages and doesn't give you any change of format, not much to choice from. Of course for a fee you can upgrade to a semi-custom 5 page site for $49.00 a year or 20 pages for 149.00 a year (NO POP UPS of course)
I do plan on going for at least the 5 page as soon as I get the time to build a new one.

I'll put that on my things to do list Mike

thanks for the reply rob, I'll be happy with anywhere near the same results that you are getting. I too switch my fuel filter every 3-4k, and will probably switch to the BR7's I have lying around, I have TR6's now, I had my chip burned for 92-93 octane and I always run 94. I also told them I do WOT blasts on 30 degree nights. but I only have a single program chip right now and doubt I can run the juice on it(I have no clue what timing is on J39 chip) so I'll have to get a flipper. I may go today to get dynoed and check my A/F ratios(have to come up with 50 bucks first). I too would rather be "safe" than squeezing another 20 hp out of the chips tune.
