Better looks, that's your opinion. If I wanted something with cheap looks and bad quality, I would of bought the damn hemi myself. But, look at what I got now, one that is less priced, can carry more passengers, and still beat a hemi.

That wouldn't be a legimate street truck, would it? You could put a Ram Body on a Real Hemi from old and run 5's. The new Hemi is not a real Hemi but it has more potential from the design of the combustion chamber and valvetrain than a Ford. Just wait until "anything" high performance comes out for the Ram Hemi.

Many Lightnings are in the 11s and are still street trucks.

Look at kenne-bells website, 511 rwhp with the kenne-bell swap on a lightning.

They better start making high performance stuff for that hemi soon, because soon enough, even the modded hemis are going to be getting beat by the gen III lightnings stock.

 

the new hemi is ,to me, a good effort by dodge, remember this is the first year out and if they are anything like ford and chevy they will pick up 15 to 30 hp in the next 2 or three years. who ever said they turned 15.5 in a stock 5.4, that is without a doubt the fastest stock n/a ever post on this site by 2/10ths.

the problem with modifying the dodge is the new drive-by-wire electronic will not let a lot of modifications. the new electronic monitor throttle position and airflow, if the readings are outside of the defined limits, the computer cuts back the fuel and spark. a computer chip might fix the problem but there are not any available yet. (August Hot Rod).

the hemi name is mostly a market tool and you have to admit it is working, just a Chevy uses SS and Ford pulled out the mach 1.

LIGHTNINGS maxed out! Are you smoking crack? There are LIGHTNING's on this site that are making over 600RWH.P and I beleive 1 or 2 that are over 700RWH.P. I think SAL made around 980RWH.P and well over 1000FT/LBS of TQ the last time on the dyno.
