Just Stepped Up To The 100hp Shot And Now I Have A Strange Engine Noise?

JBL, I know what you mean but on the other hand my cousin (10secL) has a 2000 L with a 5# lower and a 100hp shot and has run around 30 10# bottles through his L with zero engine problems. Also DL is running a 5# lower and a 2# upper with a 100hp shot with zero problems on his 2001. So who knows I guess if it blows I will just have to spend the cash for a built motor. It's only green paper right????

It runs perfect with no noise except for the slight valve train noise when I first activate the 100hp shot. It seems like it only does it when I first activate the nitrous. I only have 13K on my truck and I have only made a couple of 1/4 mile passes on the juice so who knows. If something was wrong inside the motor you would think that it would make the noise under boost during daily driving. But it doesn't and it runs smooth as can be.

Hey Hank,
Been away a few days from the boards. Glad you found the problem.
My local Ford dealer tech friend changed my plugs Fri. from TR6's to IT 22's. The TR6 plugs looked good with 8 passes on them of Nitrous. If you only drive your truck on weekends and you think you may spray, mix a 1/4 tank of 93 Amoco Gold with 4-5 gallons of 100 octane Racing fuel for the weekend, just for extra protection when you spray. I only keep 1/2 tank of Amoco Gold in the L all the time. I'll fill up, only when I go out of town on trips.
My local 76 station by my house sells Racing fuel. .
If I run on motor at the track, I'll use 93 Amoco Gold and for extra protection, most of the time a mixture of racing gas. Everytime I spray, It's on the 93/100 racing fuel mixture
