1st time to wax the '02 L - 101
Well,
I'm thinking it's a good time to treat the L right and wax it properly.
A little history, I bought it in OH (2/27) and drove it to TX (where she sits now). I've noticed a haze/film on it even when I get done at the carwash even w/the spot-free spray-on treatment. BTW, it's washed every 2-3 days regardless without even a soapy mitt treatment.
Granted, I've never waxed a vehicle PROPERLY and I've heard good things about ZAINO (6+ steps and an all-weekend job!) and Wet-Cherry-Wax (pretty good reviews).
So, if anyone could give some good instructions and reviews of different waxes, etc., I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ronald

super glaze
I know this does not totally apply, but for a simple wax job I use the wax shops super glaze, does it last as long as full wax job , no, but it does have it's place, smooth on and off and great results. I've used this product on two other dark colored vehicles and the results have been great. just thought I'd share. Todd

I just waxed mine and washed it today. I used the meguires gold class or somethin like that. I worked good. i am satisfied. It took much longer to wash it then it did to wax it. Not too bad. I had a lot of little blacks specs of tar on my truck.... go figure and it took like 4 hrs to get it all off. After that it is smooth sailin

See me at the Talon meeting on Thursday... I use S100 and SEPC for prep unless you have to polish, then there are a good couple of different ones to use..
you may want to log in at this website (its dedicated to auto detailing) and do a few searches.. I am a frequent lurker there..

I got lazy and just hand-waxed my truck last Saturday. Cleaned and dried it, then applied one coat of Mother's California Gold and buffed it out. I'm impressed with the shine, although it's not as good as my Porter Cable's handywork.
Next time I'm going for the Cherry Wet wax.
A full-on job for me would include:
Wash
Claybar
Wash
Swirl/Scratch remover
Polish
Cherry Wet Wax
