Keypad install....my handle only has one long counterweight??

If I have the correct piece, it looks like I willnot have to remove the counter weights, or have to grind a corner off. Do I have the wrong handle, or has Ford redone this piece? According to the "how to" page mine looks like the cut and modded piece. Has anyone seen a handle like this? I am doing this to my 2000 L.

Maybe Ford finally got it right.

I had to cut mine.

Well, Ford has helped us out! I just bought and installed these part #'s

YL3Z14A626AA keypad

1L3Z1522405AAH handle (black)

These work perfectly w/o cutting and/or removing the counterweight! (safety piece to keep door shut in case of an accident).

Thanks so much Silver 2000 for the link with the SUPER instructions!
