How does the tuning of the PCM work exactly? Does it have the same (if not more) capabilities of a chip? I would love to have a dyno tuned PCM rather than a chip....more "stealth" that way

A local supplier out of the Houston area told me he was going to be offering this soon also. He does not want to post it yet as he does not want a thousand calls asking when it will be available. Bet you can't guess who it is.......Sorry Mark.

We need actual dyno results not just seat of the pants feel. If this program is so flexible, why doesn't Ford use it and can it be detected as tampering with the PCM?

This is my concern also. Can it be detected as easily as a chip? If not I know what route I'm doing!!

Very soon we should be able to use a Tweecer for the 01 and later models (99 and 00 are supported now) to do this. Any 99 or 00 owners using it now?

My guess (and maybe I'm wrong), is that this is similar to what is being done in this case. Once you can tweak the tables, there's probably a set of 'standard' values that take into account the most common bolt-ons and atmospheric conditions. However, it can only be fine tuned so much without dyno-ing, testing and making custom changes.

I have a newer PCM...cux1....

Ford reflashes with the latest available program from CDROM is how it was shown to me. I would guess the logic is fuzzy if it compensates for various iterations. It's like a Standard Managed Enviroment were Software upgrades are "Pushed" to the field.
Maybe the Processor is getting quicker and the table expansion is infinitely astronomical.....Damn..that sounds large.

I have been working on a new design processor that is called
LSD or ACID. for the Experienced....

A supersensible substance held in theosophy to be next above the tangible world in refinement. Near Hades but better than the Diablo Chips.

Mark will be getting my PCM next. As outlined, the computer when at WOT will control all fuel and air metering to allow a safe and powerful a/f. Imagine running N02, squeezing it and the computer takes over. This is with the added benefit of adding most mods. When you start getting radical with cams and such, you will need to go custom.

Turn around time is 10 days. Its well worth it and im sending out my PCM as soon as my truck comes back this week

How much would a brand new PCM from Ford cost? *If* you are able to procure one directly from them that is....

The PCM's are $350.00 from Ford and they will give you a core of $100.00.....if you wanna go that way.

That is how it was intended to be taken

As a child of the seventies I know where you are coming from.
