Okay. I'll go ahead and ask.

The spacer might not make any more horsepower, but your truck will be faster because your wallet will be lighter! Skip

Directly NONE. But indirectly a few Since you are doing 2 things one is you are insulating the upper intake from a huge heat source[blower]and 2 you will be increasing the volume of air in the upper intake so the blower has something like a surge tank or resevoir to draw air from.I plan on making one for my truck ans well as for the blower to lower intake too,in the near future. But that stuff is not cheap! The amount that I need is going to cost 200 bucks not including the machine time.Stan

Ruslow,
Where is the heat from the blower going to go then?
You will have effectively isolated the blower from any conduction heat path, I can see the upper spacer plate, but the lower doesn't appear to be a good idea IMHO.

Good piont did not think of that! But I also feel that as the motor warms up the blower is heat sinking the intake. If you seperate the blower from it then it will take longer to heat up since the air going in is cooler so you will see just how efficent the blower is when you measure the boosted side of the air charge.Stan

If you were selling a product, wouldnt you inform the buyers about the gains and hard data thats proves it works , to help sell it ?
same things goes with the intercooler replacements.
duh. how stupid do you think we are.

gains..

Well Bad as L has posted the flow gains from a spacer before. It appears to help flow quite a bit. Howthat translates to HP is a very good question that will not be answered for a while...

I agree the blower heat sinks to the intake which heat sinks to the heads/block, which is then cooled by the recirulating antifreeze and the radiator/fan.

Again, blower will go into thermal overload if isolated. IMHO. Might work for short periods at the 1/4 mile,

That makes perfect sense to me for some reason ...
