Send codes wanted

I'm looking for codes to send to the computer. I already have most of the standard OBD2 codes and PIDs for mode 1 thru 4, but that's about it.

I haven't had any luck going to the dealer for this information. They just punch it up on the computer and have no idea what is sent.

I would appreaciate somebody emailing me anything such as SAE J1979. Or Ford or Lightning specific codes and PID's. I figure that you guys probably know more about this than anybody.

Thanks.

Check here

http://www.flippedbit.net/F150/obdII_codes.htm

SAE J1979 is just generic ODBII codes/PIDS.

The Ford specific codes and pids are above and in the Ford Service DVD avial on Ebay. Give me a specific # and Ill look it up...

The link was excellent information for DTC's. I noticed that when I did a search. What I'm looking for is the codes to send to the computer. I'm looking for anything and everything. For example 61 6a F1 01 0C will issue a request for RPM's from a PWM OBD2 interface (such as what Ford uses). I have all (I think) of the Mode 1 thru 4 definitions. But I'm not sure about higher Modes and different or alternate headers. I'm not even sure where to look. I could reverse engineer from a couple scan tools that I have access to, but I really just want the definitions.

Does the Ford Service DVD have this information on it?

Thanks

I have never seen anything that contained the HEX codes the programs use to talk to the computer...

Sounds like you are tryingto make your own scan tool - Good Luck

Basically yes. It's a little different(more usefull information) then what's available today because of some of the things that can be derived from the data. Also note that Ford has a barometric pressure sensor on it. Very usefull at the track.

Surely somebody has this information.
