Not sure what Ford vehicles have this fabric. I just know my '03 Lightning does. I always worry about stuff getting on seats so searched til I found the info on how to clean the stuff. I also have ordered Wet OKole Hawaii Custom Neoprene Seat Covers and I should have them installed early next week..

 

The lightnings and cobras since 99 have had the suede like material. Or maybe the cobras started in 01'...not sure on that one but think they had them in 99 as well.

 

well i know the genII have the suede seats, original post made it seem like they switched to some new material in 03

Actually, it's synthetic suede - Alcantara.

 

Isn't it ironic that the suede, which looks real, is fake, while the leather, which looks fake, is real.

 

Yeah, when I first got my L the window sticker said something like "leather/cloth upholstery" I had to get on this board and ask which was which because I honestly thought the suede stuff was the leather and the black stuff was a plastic coated woven cloth!

 

Isn't that the truth, but you know, since I haven't seen my seats in 2 years I forgot what they look like

 

Gator what do you have? Aftermarket seats or just Wet Okoles?
