RE: put this on
Thats the kit I used, It did not work on my truck.
Mine does not have oil behind the throttle body or on the body, But instead it fills the boot, And I mean every ridge in the boot is filled. This is stupid. Maybe if I change to an open air filter it won't be so bad? What do you think? It's stock now does the openair filter help by not sucking so hard or what

I have eliminated all of my oil in the TB and inlet boot by maintaining the crankcase oil in the middle of the "add" and "full" marks on the dipstick, or in the middle of the crosshatched area. In my case that is 5.5 qts with new filter, NOT the full 6 qts stated in the manual. Others have had similar results.

For me, the oil problem hasn't shown up again since I started keeping my oil filled to the add line. The amazing thing is the oil consumption went to zero since then. I never need to add any oil between changes. In the old days when I kept it "filled", I had to add approximately 1 qt every 2000 miles. I've been running it this way for over 3 years without a problem (that I know of).
