Have Extra Lightning Motor-What Should I Put It In?

Since I put in a built short block, new heads, TB, upper air intake and have long tube headers I essentially have a spare engine sitting around. If I can't get a decent price for it, I was thinking of doing a project car. Any ideas of a car that would take a Lightning transplant without major modifications (fit wise)?

Put it in a Focus! I read an article in Autoweek the other day where ATI put an 03 Cobra engine in a Focus - rear wheel drive and IRS. That was an awesome car.

Ahh, Bronco? no no no... I like the Ford Focus idea better. Hood off! Show off a blower! *grin*... Mmm... I am thinking about buying a SVT Focus ehe...for a every day driver and stop driving my truck Or just a Focus in general. I've seen them for 5,000 roughly, used. 5 Speed, ZTEC engine or what ever.. with like 20,000 miles. 2000! Mm... do the normal mods to it.. and have a ''semi'' little quick putter around town car And long trips. Thing gets such good gas milage.

How about a AC Cobra replica. You can pick those up sometimes real cheap. Check Barrett-Jackson auctions or similair and you can find them going for around $20k. I think a L motor in one of those would be sweet. Just my .02

Put it in your Lightning and make it a twin-engine beast

Buy an AC cobra kit car for like 12,000 from factory five, that car would be fast as chit. OH and put a T56 in it.

Send it my way; I'll do a rebuild on it and make a built motor out of it; that is if you are just trying to get it out of your way.

Although i dont like the looks of the car, try putting it in a miata, you would be wasting people left and right with that little sub 3000 lb car. I like the focus idea though aswell, although the other focus that was mention that had a supercharged v8 in it was also using the cobra engine not the L engine, 4.6 vs. 5.4. I dont know if displacement makes the exterior of an engine also larger. Either way, put it in the smallest car u can and kick some assphalt.

Just remember, if you're going to cram that engine into a subcompact, your weight ratio will be like 70/30
