drove the z06
Well I finally got to drive dads z06. All I have to say is wow. And the Borla Stingers make it sound nice. Anyway the car is badass and the heads up display is such a nice touch. You never have to look down at a gauge.
Well heres a pic of the car for those who havent seen it.

You have some nice rides in your family. I'm thinking of adding a Z06 to my garage one day. Probably wait until the C6s come out.
As for how many Z06s there are on the road now...
2001 - 5773 Z06s were made (16% of total C5 production)
2002 - 8297 Z06s were made (22% of total C5 production)
Add in how ever many are made so far this year and you get a good amount of Z06s. Far from what I would call mass produced common car though.

Thing is, out of the tons of them I see every day, none of them have ever been driving even close to fast, seems like a waste to me. Not that speeding in traffic is a good thing, but its not like I see them at the track very often, so wtf do they have them for?
shame shame shame ..where is the commitment? j/k
I'd trade my Lightning in a second for a Z06.
