Need maintenance tips on what should be done to my truck before my S.C. road trip..

hapnzap DO NOT use maximum pressure

listed on sidewall!!! That is not recommended pressure! don't believe me-- look at recommended pressure inside driver door placque compared to max pressure stated on sidewall of stock ttired truck. If you have different sizes you need to find out recommended pressure from dealer (don't know of many who know or offer this info) or manufacturer (best source)!

My 00' L only has 33k on it, but it's been on several 1800-2000 mile round trips. I've always topped up the gas before I left.

Loco, you reminded me,

you get better gas mileage,plus don't pull sediment on bottom of tank if you refill at 1/2 tank. Check and see if this isn't true!

jakemarietta, someone else will have to try that! I'm the kind of guy that tries to make it to next gas station after empty. It's almost got me in trouble a few times, but I think the L has a reserve tank hidden somewhere...it's not let me down yet.
