Question Lower End Build

Need advice on the biggest bang for the buck regarding a lower end rebuild for my '03 L

I don't care about having internal performance parts that tote a big name, quality comes first, biggest bang for the dollar comes in at a close second.

The only options at this point that I am aware of are - Johnny's complete lower end and Sal's lower end kit.

Please advise!

Just returned from being out all morning, thanks for the advice guys.

Don't quote me to the penny, but I believe in the $3800 range, complete lower, new block and everything.

Dan you ABSOLUTELY get the award for
THE MOST MODS WHEN BRAND NEW
SOB ordered the KB, Pulley's, Chip, and now a Built Motor
all either BEFORE or within a week of taken posession of your BRAND NEW BEAST

I KNEW I LIKED YOU FOR A REASON

My mans first run is gonna be in the 10's

You know I'm a Johnny Guy,
but REM is awesome and I bought much from them,
if they're closer and can do the install, it would be something
to check into.
"OR"
You could drive to PA (JLP) to break in the new Motor
Then drive back to break in the NEW NEW MOTOR
HEHEHEHEHEHE

Rob

You know this is all your fault. Your L is so awesome you inspired me beyond the point of reason.

The question is where does it stop? I am already contemplating putting my HiPo 289 aside for the Stang to do the lower end and I haven't even seen a track yet.

I need to plant one of those trees in the backyard, the kind that grows 100's - know where I can get one.

I must say - having a group of great L owners to talk to is priceless!

Thanks again for your advice!!!

If you're going to do the assembly yourself, get one of the Piston/Rod/Bearing/Bolt kits, like that from PSP.

You can't beat $1850.00.

If you go with a local engine builder, make sure they are very familiar with Ford modulars.

I just went through Vinnie's list of Mods. I know people that can't count that high.

You are the king!
