Ford Incentives and the Lightning

What are the chances that when Ford releases their new incentives on July 9th, they'll include the Lightning. I bought my 2001 Lightning w/ 2.9% financing through Ford Motor Credit and that was unheard of. With all the sweet deals they are doing right now, it would be nice to inlcude the Lightning. I know many dealers that are selling the 03's for invoice and I would love new truck.

The only time I can remember Ford putting incentives on SVT vehicles is right after 9/11 so I would not hold my breath.

Even if Ford doesnt include it, check out your local credit union. I got mine through www.communitycu.org(in Dallas) and got a 5.49% rate. Ford wanted 7.89% or somewhere in that range. Told them to fuggettaboutit.

No, sure haven't. I went to TALON one time and registered and kinda looked around, but I really hang out on just 2 boards...this one and dfwstangs.net. Can't really do more because they can easily become addictive and consume mucho time Maybe I'll make it to the next TALON meet though. Don't know but maybe 2 other L owners.

I would say the chances of any incentives soon are pretty low. Your best chance to possibly see incentives on the L from Ford are if there are a lot of Lightnings on lots when winter comes around. People up north dont buy Ls when the streets are like an ice cube. Then... maybe...

You might want to keep an eye out for a used 03. I know you can refinance for around 4-5% if you have the credit. Good luck!

I wouldnt bet on it either. I bought my 01' when the incentives were going on so I got the 60@2.9 as well. But if you're looking into a new one just make sure you get a good deal and it will all work out. I only got 60@4.25 on my 03 but came out to be $10 cheaper than my 01! And I didn't pay sticker for my 01 either Good luck...

I think your best bet would to try to get x-plan and then the best bank around for financing..
