the fog light solution
After searching for months to replace my cracked (x2) foglights...... Piaa added covers to thier popular 510 series making the 4" lights fill up the hole in our L's. these are top quality lights and can be had for 150.00 on E-bay, that's 100.00 off retail and way cheaper than replacing them once with factory Hellas. I simply cut the pigtail off the factory ones and soldered them on to the Piaas, plugs right in no worries. I got the driving pattern so it took some fiddling to get them aimed proper. and get this they are guaranteed against thermal cracking for life. hope this helps, Scott check it out https://www.f150online.com/galleries...3910&anum=4170

Ok so nobody likes my lights, well 0 outta 6 but hey you must admit they look better than cracked up factory ones with burn marks on the center???? and I don't HAVE to put the grills on.
BTW this was to HELP you people who can't seem to find an alternative to the habitual thermal cracking issue. I found one and all you guys could say was how ugly they are. but that's cool, enjoy

"Hey, guys, I found this alternative."
"The alternative won't work for me because it's ugly."
Seems like an appropriate response to me.
Anyway, is there any way to cut out the center part, leaving only the black ring?
And how do you aim the lights if you are relying on a pressure fit around the edge of the ring?
BTW, THANK YOU for taking the time to share information.
