Question What Kind Of 60-Foot Times Should I Expect From Nitto 555R's?

Those of you that are running Nitto 555R's what kind of 60-foot times are you guys getting? I have not yet ran my Nitto's at the track and recently added the JLP traction bars and am curious as to what kind of 60-foot times I should expect.

I'm still trying to get below 2.0 on mine. If you get there before I do let me know, I'm seriously considering slicks. Best time so far is 2.1, I guess it also depends on how much hp's you putting on those bad boys

You should see better than 2.0 with Nitto DRs for sure. I pulled 2.0s with my stock F1s. I've seen people do 1.7 60's easily with DRs.

I did a 1.89 the other day. That is my best. I'm mostly in the 1.9's with them. With Hoosiers my best was a 1.69 once nd everything else has been 1.8's. So I guess what I am trying to say is it depends upon the track and your mods and you.

Must be the track conditions, can't be my driving abilities

My best 60 foot times have been when I do a big burnout and launch at 1200 rpm. I have a 2600 stall torque converter. I still spin.

I have both Nitto's and ET Streets, no comparison. The Et's are streets ahead, pun intendid.

I ran Nittos for one day at the track, loaner set with stock 01' rims, 22psi, low to mid 1.70's with a 900-1000 rpm launch. They hooked great that day and after running F1's it was world of difference.

I cut a best of 1.78 on my DR's. Best of 1.93 with the F1's. You have to heat them up really good. Run them ~18psi.

Well, i was at the FFW at Richmond the last couple of days and had some interesting results. Yesterday it was pretty hot but with some overcast and i managed a 12.6 with a 1.77 60' on my DR's, then a 12.5 with a 1.8 something (i usually get consistant 1.84-1.86 with them). Pretty good but then they went away! I had a 14 sec run and they would not hook at all but i gave the crowd a show by not hitting any walls! Today was sunny and hot and the best run i could muster was a 13.1 with a 60 of 2.2. I had three other runs and could not get my 60 even back under a 2.2 or so. I had them at 19 lbs and flamed the heck out of them, then tried just a launch at idle, and even a roll out launch and still couldn't get any grip. Other guys with F1's were killing me on launch. I'm stumped but bottom line, IMO too much money for a drag street tire with poor street wear and garners a 60 around what F1's do, they are finicky as heck, i'm going to slicks, i'm tired of screwing around with them.
