If you are just trying to turn the converter to get to the drain, here's a trick..
Take the converter plate off the bellhousing, then use either a thin head wratchet with a short 9/16 socket, or a 9/16 wrench with an offset head, and put it on one of the conveters stud nuts. Push the wratchet or wrench in the tightening direction, and the conveter will turn until you hit the bellhousing. There are 6 converter nuts, so you should always have access to one. Then just keep turning the converter till you find the drain. Just keep in mind that most 01-up trucks don't have drains on the converter.
