Ya ya I know. But it's only temporary.

That made my day. I feel your pain when it comes to not having enough time, but I am sure there is someone out there who can help you get that boxed up quick. I used to work in a stereo shop doing install for a couple of years, and that just reminds me of all the crazy crap people will do to get a "little bump in the trunk".

Heck, with the help of a friend, we installed a deck, front speakers, wired the amp, and built the box below from scratch installed and carpeted in THREE HOURS!! It was by far the fastest I have ever built anything, and it sounds pretty good too. It is just temporary, but it was much quicker than the fiberglassed setup that I have planned.

Someone please help this guy out!!

You might be amazed at what a GENEROUS amount of $7 a roll industrial grade duct tape will do! I did'nt have a single rattle/buzz til this morning.

Well... Now I'm embarrassed I posted that one. :o
Oh well...

Awesome job man!! That looks killer already. If you did all of that in one weekend, then you are freaking amazing. I plan to buy better subs before I start my box project, but what you have done already is similar to what I have planned. Once again, good job!!

Don't be embarrased that you haven't had time to rig a box yet. Not everyone wants to pay someone to do their work. In addition, if you are working 2 jobs, then you probably don't have several hours to set aside on a weekend to build one. At least you can freaking listen to it. Most people will leave that stuff lying in the living room for months.

actually my friend David (as seen in some of the pics) did 99.9% of the work I just helped and gophered tools. Once upon a time he worked at a shop built several customer cars that were published, along with his own personal vehicle. Once we get done it should be awesome.

parts:
Head Unit: Panasonic 7200
Amps: RF Power 1001BD (sub)
RF Power 551S (mid/high)
Subs: Image Dynamics IDQ 12" (x2)
Mids/High: Image chamelon Separates (6")
EQ/Crossover: undecided, but possibly Audio Control DQT
Radar: Escort Passport SR1 (remote mount)
Alarm: Viper 790XV
