Hi Ya All
I made it home Safe and Sound
It was a very fun weekend, the people and the racing were great. There was a little carnage - my electric water pump let go on me, and I ran over Vinnies generator. I am now back to a Cobra water pump, and plan to stay with that. I will post about the electric water pump later. You will love the pics of it.
I qualified 5th overall, with a dial in time of 11.1 and ran a 11.3 and 11.4 while on the brakes. I thought the traction was really pritty good, the only run I spun hard was a by run, in which I tried to launch real hard instead of rolling into the throttle.
Yes the New England boys kicked some butt in Ohio. Jamie(Fordmofan) was the runner up, and I came in 3rd. I must have wanted the finals a little to much, since I cut a .490 light in the semis.
I am verry happy with how my truck is running, and I know 10's will come at some point. It ran four 7.1 1/8 mile times over the weekend, so If I hadn't had to hit the brakes allmost every run I bet one of them may have been a 10. Also I am very happy how consistant the truck is running while bracket racing.
In the past two weeks I drove to Virginia then to Ohio and back, and made it into the semis both times. To me it doesn't get much better than that.
Again I enjoyed meeting a bunch of new Lightning guys, and hope to be friends for many years.
Here is a pic Doug took for me, once again awesome pics.
