F1's vs. Nitto 555

I need two new front tires. I'm debating the F1's over Nitto 555.

NOT DRAG RADIALS!!!!!

What have you guys ran and which do you like better?

555s have better load bearing sidewalls and better traction from a dead stop. I like mine better than the F1s. The 555s don't have those annoying textured sidewalls either.

I just got the Nitto's becasue the F1's were too pricey at the time. I have to say, I think the F1's are better. I never got to test the Nitto's at the same track so I don't have times to prove it, but they definitely don't seem to hook as well as the F1's. And if bad weather is a concern, the F1's are much much better than the Nittos in the wet.

If I were to do it again, I'd prolly go F1. The Nittos do look cool though.

I am running 555s up front and the 555Rs in the back and I couldn't be happier with them. I will never buy F1s again even if they go to $100 a tire.

Interesting replies so far. I'm rollin on 20's now, but i must say, when f-1's are new (first 5000 miles) they have great traction. Downhill after that. And i'm only a medium burnout maker.

BTW, as per the leader, you need to do a SEARCH. This topic has been in quite a few posts.
