Calling SAL !!!!
'01's wife here.
Sal, I am sorry to bother you, and I know you are a busy guy. However, someone on the SRT forums is calling you a liar about the boost you are running, the times you are running, the blower you are running (he has quoted KB statements that the blower can only produce a maximum of 22psi knowing nothing about motors or superchargers)........... and basically everything else about your truck. In short, he is saying you know nothing about what you are talking about......... or are a liar.
I apologize for getting you involved in his inane conversation. The only reason I did was because of your recent crank incident, which I used to illustrate that the 5.4 isn't so weak after all (what he was stating).
Also, he seems to believe that every engine built by Dodge is just begging for massive boost right out of the factory because Dodge is so nice as to build the indestructible engine for its buyers. He understands nothing about motors built for boost. He understands nothing about high compression and boost. Basically he understands nothing.
I am done with it........... as they will not believe me anyway (I think it has to do with me being a woman........... go figure. )
Please go over there and explain a bit of reality to an idiot know-it-all. It would be wonderful to see someone like that put down. You know the type.......... the "The Lightning sucks because all I have to do is "slap" a supercharger on my HEMI and make 500hp" type.

Sorry about the boo boo on the url. I was annoyed at the time. I guess I just don't enjoy being called thing that I am not. Plus, was busy with the baby.
One fun point about hemidakota........ even the moderator/administrator of the SRT board thinks he is full of it........... and has said so in the past.
I look forward to see what you continue to do with your truck. Tell you what, Rick sure was impressed to see how that cast crank held up. He comes from the engine building days where you would be lucky to see one hold up to 600hp (in other words, he has built engines for quite a long time).
BTW, I am the reason he has the L. He was so impressed with my '94. (I am very proud of that fact)

Great post Sal...
While I really don't give a hoot about what Dodge does or does not have coming, the Dodge boys have been crying about that damn V-10 truck for over a year and still no truck. Whenever it does finally show up Ford will have the next generation Lightning and then they really will have something to cry about.

I don't even need to read the post, my experience over the last three years has shown me that Sal is a stand-up guy, and one of the pillars of the Lightning community. Just to cite a small example, when I was putting my new fuel system together he advised me NOT to buy the brand of regulator that he sells but to buy a different brand from another vendor. In our world of cutthroat mercantilism this is just incredible, and the honesty and integrity of the man are above reproach.
