still havent installed the new plenium, just haven't had time. While on the topic though, anything I should expect from it under normal driving? I dont think the single blade will sound any different, and I dont think it will be anymore throttle responsive, will it? I heard I will notice it more top end... Is that true and also is it true I may lose torque? thanks, Shane

I don't see why you'd lose torque with a honed intake? Doesn't REM's site say 10hp, 15 TQ increase? Why would your torque drop at all?

Hmm..interesting Shane. Anyone else have any info on this? In the next few months I was planning on doing phenolic spacer, throttle body, and extrude honed intake. Anyone have any info on if you would lose torque with a ported/honed upper intake?

I asked in another thread when I got the intake spacer if porting the upper intake plenium would go well with it...

Shane,

Porting the upper intake plenum will actually hurt your low end unless you have a highly modded Lightning. It increases your high rpm 7-10 HP on all the ported plenums we see here. But you loose just as much on the low end. It's really your option but I like the throttle response so I leave it unported.

Hope this helps,
