Rear glass rubber strip/gasket

I am referring to the ~1/2" black rubber weather stripping that seals the black plastic around the rear glass to the cab. Does your strip have a gap so that the 2 ends do not meet up (I made 2 red lines to show the approx gap)? I have a 2.5" gap that is almost centered at the bottom and looks ghetto. Not to mention the black plastic that holds the window is warped a little bit at the bottom as well.

I have one on the driver's side about the same length, if not a little longer. No leakage yet, but it's ugly as h3ll.
