I am a newcomer to this forum, but have been an L owner for going on a year and a half now. I 've met several people who've become close friends in this relatively short period of time. The L community seems to share a brotherhood and comeraderie like no other I've ever been associated with. I did not personally know anyone involved in this tragedy, but felt an inexplicable sense of loss upon reading this thread. Godspeed to TUNDRA and SONIC 03 and your families and friends. You are in our hearts and prayers. God Bless
Our most sincere condolences,
Rob and Mary Pantin

Tundra was a Trooper
Always pushing the envelope and in a geographic area where it was really hard to get on site help to get his L going.
They are long gone now, but I remember exchanging a few e-mails about "straight pipes" which was a favorite mod of his some years ago.
I believe he enjoyed his time with us, this family, enjoyed his Lightning and he certainly enjoyed living at the top of the world in Alaska. It is truly sad that that life was cut short, but if Tundra could talk to us he would probably say something like "folks, it was a shorter life than I would have wished for but it was a good life".
Watch over us our Brother.

TUNDRA
I met Ed (in 2000 shortly after I bought my L) after he saw me in my Lightning at an intersection, and then he caught up to me at a gas station. He was excited to meet another Lightning guy and fun to talk to. Since then we had exchanged emails, he mostly helping me track down parts or a mechanic for my Lightning. I was pretty stunned when I saw this post. I think some kind of memorial would be befitting. He was one of the original Gen 2 Lightning owners and a great guy.

Tundra was one of the best.
I haven't been here in a while and I'm sure I'll get shut down sure enough, but I just wanted to express my condolences and remind the Lightning community that even though we may never meet, we're all family...
'Ole Timers, let's raise a glass to our friend and wish him well on his journey.
Rest is peace, brother... Rich(TampaSVT)

Oh My god! I have been a long time member, albeit a quieter one but this comes as a huge tragedy. I also had spoken with him on occasion via email and posts a couple of years back.
This is such a tragedy and shock.
My deepest condolences to his family and relatives.
