Nice ST.ELMO'SFIRE

Now lower those suckers to AT LEAST 25 psi.
MAYBE LOWER (I never raced it w/higher than 25 psi)
I cut 1.8 -1.9 each and every time I raced with f-1's @ 25psi
except (1) 2.0 on a crappy un-prepped track

Remember,
Every tenth you loose on your 60, should net you
2/10th's better ET

You did good with the new Mods, nice improvement

thanks rob, but i must give the credit to two people
Gregg Evans, for rebuilding the trany for next to nothing
and John Wiker of JLP, for his parts, and for taking the time to datalog the truck and get it tunned up for almost free

these two guys are some of the most humble, respectable people i have ever met, and i thank them!

my truck may not be the fastest by a long shot but for a stock block and the boltons i have it shure does run pretty darn good.

oh btw the track i run at is uphill i probably rises 15-18 feet over 660" does this matter?

Great job Aaron! Your truck was definitely haulin' yesterday. I must say that the highlight of the day was driving to the track 'motorcade' style with Mike's 2000L, Russel's racing Mustang 5.0 LX and Dave's Saleen 281. I saw a lot of heads turning as we drove past.

I was pretty happy with my times as well, as my L is 'stock' and it was also my 2nd time at the track. Like you I ran my rear tires at street psi (32), but I left everything on my truck from the spare tire, tow hitch and tonneau cover.

I improved my reaction time, 60' time and even in the 80 degree heat matched my 1/8 mile time from earlier this year with my time of 9.137 @78.1 mph.

Maybe on my next trip to the track in September, the temps will be a bit cooler and I'll be in the 8.9s range.

Thanks for all of the advice you gave me at the track yesterday. It definitely helped me to hook up off the line and have consistent runs all day!

a guy i know says if i buy a set of slicks i won't run any faster

this can't be true can it, i figure with slicks i can at least put the stall converter to good use and get my 60' times down, am i wrong????
