Question Someone tell me....

It has been a couple of years now, I think maybe 2. (When the 2001 L's came out) There was an article in either Hot Rod, Motor Trend, Car & Driver...... I dont remember which one. Anyway, it tested a stock C5 W/ the L. The numbers were very close or maybe the L was ahead in the 1/4 a little. I dont remember that either. I just know the numbers where impressive. We have a fellow employee that is a loyal Chevy guy and does not believe me. He is "supposed" to be buying his own C5 in the next couple of months and he keeps telling me we will see...

I dont think I would walk him but I will damn sure could hang with it. Have before and I will do it again. All I have at the moment is Chip, Open Air, Magna Exh.

Thats besides the point. Has anyone else seen this article or know where another similar write up may be. PLease let me know. Thanks for the .

Allyn

i remember the article 2. i think it tested the lightning running a low 13 and the vette a tenth slower... I think it said 13.3 for the L and 13.4 for the vette? does anyone else have the article?
Is that the one your talking about?
thanks, Shane

edit: the Corvette posted a best of 13.27 at 107 flat via its 3.42:1 transaxle. The Lightning, with its 3.55s, posted a 13.68 at 99.3 mph
