Come to LightningFest 2003!

Are you tired of waiting for the Lightning class to be called? Do you hate to be the largest single racing group, but are always the last class called at 1:00 AM? If so come to LightningFest…no waiting for the other classes. All calls will be for Lightnings and we close at midnight on Saturday! On Sunday run on the “Twisties”, after attending the classes held by “The Track Guys” driving instructors.
Who: All Lightning owners are invited (over 115 trucks already registered)
When: 26-28 September 2003
Where: Topeka, KS -- Heartland Park Raceway (HPT)
Come to LightningFest to see the other Lightning owners and put a face with the board name! Don’t miss out on winning some of the thousands of dollars of prizes to be given away . Come to see Pops Kirkwood’s beautiful Gen 1 set a new record as the “Worlds Fastest Lightning”, or will someone else be faster?
This is a chance of a lifetime to attend and help make Lightning history by adding your truck to the 3-day event. While you are there, talk to the Lightning Tuners and buy the must-have parts. Check out the Ford SVT trailer and the surprise display vehicles (did I hear Lightning Concept truck?). See the new 2004 F150 trucks up close and personal (maybe test drive it?). There will even be a KC Ford Plant tour, for the first 50 that register and sign up.
We will have professional photographers at the event, and your truck could be in a national magazine. Event pictures of your truck will be available, for purchase from Digital Race Photography.

- BBQ feed - Friday 26th (must have prepaid)
- KC Ford Plant tour – Friday 26th (limited to the first 50 to sign up)
- Show Trucks - Saturday 27th
- Drag races - Saturday 27th
- Open Track (2.1 mile course) with driving instructors - Sunday 28th
- Autocross - Sunday 28th (You must return all cones stuck under your truck!)

Remember, anyone who beats Pauls Lightning at Lightning fest gets $1000.00 cash fom Paul. and if you beat Tim, you get $5000.00 cash from Tim. This challenge was made publicly by Paul last friday night at Towershoppes in front of at least 10 Lightning owners. Only KBs and Eatons allowed to challenge. Pauls claim is that nothing can beat a 112 or 140 Works. Lets find out..

LFEST weather
There was some grumbling around here about the forecast for next weekend. As of today the weather looks GREAT
Mid 60s and partly Cloudy
Should be a BUNCH of new personal bests on Saturday at the drags. I need to get my Road course tores out for the road course, Dwight was saying there are a bunch of openings left for the road course.

Important information:
Hi all,
There has been some confusion lately about being able to show up, pay at the gate and race.
The ONLY event that requires pre-registration & pre-pay is the Friday BBQ.
You CAN pay at the gate for all other festivities and racing.
Everyone have a safe trip! I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
