activate the AC automatically when using defroster like my Supra does! L Rod is right about frequency of using AC to keep seals lubed.

 

Thanks guys, I will do so every month. I do not use the a/c unless I can't stand the heat anymore. Here in OH, no problem with heat. Just unpredictable weather. Hope everyone on the east coast is preparing to be safe the next few days.

The only time the compressor doesn't cycle is when the selector is turned to panel or the off position.
