could anybody please tell my why my truck only made 11hp and 42ft/lbs more than it did stock with these mods? 9" crank pulley diablo sport chip and mac cold air kit . I took it to the track and only ran .1 and a half a mile per hour more than stock. stock was 8.92@79.54mph and modded was 8.83@80.11mph. any help would be GREATLY appreciated

We need more info: Year of truck, plugs, a/f numbers, timing numbers, 60' times, maintenance(fuel filter change--how many miles?), and most important, i.e., what were the weather differences between the two 1/8 mile passes.

2003, 11.6-11.7a/f ratio from 3500 to 5200rpm's,stock plugs, both runs were done in evening 75 degree weather. 60-foot times were similar 2.05-2.15, although with mods truck did spin a little more coming off the line. my truck peaked out at 322hp/380ftlb stock and 333hp/420ftlb w/mods same dyno , stockw/1300miles,modded w/4700miles . it gained an avg of 30hp/40ftlb from 3500 to 4500 ,then kept getting closer to stock hp and tq up to 5200 5200=322.1hp/327ftlb stock vs 5200=323.9hp/332ftlb w/mods . i have ngk tr-6s ordered. thanks for the help. also could it be my chip if so could i run stock comp. if i send my chip back for reprogramming with out having to worry about detonation?

You should be able to do more than that!!!! I have 9'', JDM flipper, and TR-6's. I run 8.2's in 70° with ET streets. And thats on winter side of chip.

Swap plugs and see. I have never dyno'd my truck, so I can't help you w/ my a/f. But I don't hear any pinging.

You can 'drive' it without the chip, just stay out of the boost and NO WOT runs.

Your a/f numbers are OK but I would think your HP numbers would be higher. The TQ number looks about right.

You know what I'm gonna say

No Timing (not enough timing)
Some L Love timing, some don't, mine happens to love it,
and need it. Mine runs very slow with anything less
than 15 or 16 degrees of timing, I was losing
a full 1/2 second in my 1/4 when I had too low of timing

Take the computer out and reclean all the contacts.

I use a eyeglass screwdriver and clean each contact one at a time.

I used a dowel(sharp pointy screw driver) and the abrasive pad that came with the chip. Make shure you see copper on both sides of every contact. Hope this helps

Take your time and make sure you get them all clean. I keep mine in place with a piece of duck tape.
