?'s about rim/tire size and drop.

Wassup everyone? I read this board A LOT more than I post and find it to be very helpful. Anyhow, I have a bone stock '03 Lightning and have been getting an itch to do some cosmetic mods lately.I've already got all the performance mods mapped out, but it's the looks I need help with.

I want to go with a 20x10 rim. What tire size should I go with for little or no performance loss (or even perhaps a gain)? In any event, will changes to the computer make up for anything (shift points, speedo, etc)?

Also, being that the '03 is way high in the back, I'm wondering what drop I should go with. 1/2 looks good on the earlier gen 2's w/ dubs but I don't think it'll be enough for the '03. 3/4? I don't wanna scrape everything or have the tires rub. I'm thinking a 295/40 tire and a 3/4 drop. Any help or pics of '03's w/ a similar set-up would be greatly appreciated!

You're heading in the right direction. Nothing looks sharper than a Lightning with the right stance. Here's my 03 on 20x10's with 295/40/20's with close to a 3/4 drop.

That's what I'm talkin about! Sonic Blue has officially grown on me!

Hmmmm, close to a 3/4? What exactly did you use? That is the stance I am looking for,but don't know much about getting there. And as far as performance loss, is it considerable? Or is it nothing a few mods won't fix?

Mine is Oxford White w/ limo tint all the way around and the wheels I am going to get are Symbolic SL-7's in black chrome w/ a chrome lip. Hopefully I will get it right and look as sweet as yours. Thanks a million.
