great observation about the nonlightningness, but I did see this on ebay less than a month ago...the actual kit to have "gullwing" doors...with this actual car as the photo supplied...maybe someone can find it?

Those doors ARE from eBay:

It's funny cuz I was just gonna write a post about these doors and see if anybody purchased and installed them. I think it would actually look pretty cool on a real Lightning... but the price ($1800) thou is pretty steep.

Exactly, that's why I called it a F150

I don't know about you guys, but I kinda like it.

it'd look sweet on my sonic blue!

$1800 isn't so bad when you consider the shock value. hell, you can spend $4000-$5000+ on some nice rims and tires (which nowadays hardly even make you stand out anymore).

lots of people here have spent A LOT more on "bling" appearance items to customize their trucks. that seems to me as if it would pretty much be the ultimate bling.

imagine pulling up at a car show or club meeting and popping your doors up like that!

sweet.

later,
chris

The guy that owns the truck post on FTW and mentioned that the doors can be opened either way. Up and down or normal….

I think it looks pretty cool...

Hmmm, wonder if I could do that to all 4 of the doors on my Wood. Maybe I should wait till the lease is up tho.

Maybe Don will buy all three of us a set, with a package deal he could get a better price.

Some people might think they are ***. I guess I shouldn't use that word since others have been bashed for less. But you can fill in the blank. But I really think on a show truck like yours it would make your truck stand out even more. I would buy them but I still have a Few bills to finish paying off, so I won't be getting them too soon. But hey, if either you or Don are paying, I'll throw them on. lol

??????????
Can someone photoshop them on Vinnies, Dons, and my truck just for fun. I think they will buy them after they see what it looks like on their truck. And I wouldn't mind seeing what it would look like on mine either. haha

That is the DECA door kit.

AUTOLOK makes a kit called the "LamboDoor" that is fully electronic/actuated.
