best way to launch at the track? (brake torque or stomp gas?)

Now that I have slicks, I don't have to worry about traction off the line.

My question is.
When at the light, should I break torque (1200-1500 rpm.s) and then when the light turns FLOOR it.
OR
Should I just (from idle) stomp on the gas when the light turns.

which is better, which locks the convertor sooner.
Pro's/con's?

thanks guys

I think with slicks and stock converter, no more than 1100rpms works best.

later,
