changing to a 90mm wont gain anything
it will require a new chip and new filter kit

Unless you are making 450 + rwhp its not worth it
IMHO

Exactly

adding a 90mm MAF will require a chip, which should be dyno tuned to your truck., you wont' notice any added power unitl you get way up there.

driving with a 90mm and no chip will cause your truck to run dangerously deangerous lean!
my tuner yelled, literally yelled at me for driving to his shop (1 hour) without a chip. I was extremely lean

Factory Tech Valve Body!

should have been your first mod.
you don't need a chip.
you don't want to use a line mod for the tranny.

it's incredible what this "shift kit" does in the lightning!

It is a MUST HAVE!

also put a deep trans pan on there, Extra quart capacity of tranny fluid and it has a drain plug!

many of the vendors sell them.

then I would recommend traction bars.
Lakewoods work great and are under $100./
you can find them used for $50

What part of Alabama you from? Nice list of mods you got going. Id say the 80mm is pegged with 14lb boost.

if you already have a chip and are running 14lbs of boost id say go for it. Even if you dont need it(which is debateable), its good to upgrade anyway.

Tell me more about your "self-made" upper and lower pulleys...

Latemodelracer2 I live in Daphne Alabama(east of Mobile). J15big I am a machinest. I copied the upper pulley from a friend. I copied the lower pulley from a local performance shop, which had one in stock. I made the both after work out of some scrap aluminum we had at work. (both free)

A MAF is simply an air measurement device. It tells the engine how much air is entering the engine. By itself it will NOT affect performance. BUT they are often sold with new tuning which does impact the performance.
