You see, here is the problem with asking a simple question.

I was not trying to drag anyone thru the mud for anything, only questioning the previous 10 thousand posts from team reflash that gauranteed that this was the hottest thing since sliced bread and that the reflash was safer and more reliable than a chip. I was hoping that someone in the know would have come into this thread and talked about wether or not the reflash played a part in the destruction of his engine or if it was just the amount of stress put on the motor to start with. To say that it was the amount of boost or that it was just a matter of time are good reasons for what happend, but the truth is that detonation causes more motor failures than anything else.

this is why I am building my new engine BEFORE my original one pukes it's guts all over the track (or street).

I know the KBZILLA knew understood the risks before hand and was wanting to test the limits of the stock motor.

But I'd rather pull my existing '03 engine and have it as a backup or sell it in like new condition instead of having it as a hand grenade trophy pile.

Which brings up my point...I'll be selling my existing '03 Longblock (yes, with the new and improved heads) as soon as I can get it pulled out and get my new one in. So keep your ears open if you are interested

sorry, I can already hear it: "THIS BELONGS IN THE CLASSIFIEDS!"

it was an honest mistake

later,
chris

Yeah...so?

Seriously, I know that I am pushing my luck. But a safe tune will help to prolong the life of the rods is my point.

Just wanted to clarify that for the other readers.

Sorry to hear about your engine. Nice to see someone not whine and understand that when you turn up the heat things can break Good luck on your new built engine
