'00 Viper GTS, '02 Z06, or '88 Testarossa?

I guess IMO it would come down to how your gonna use it.
IMO if you are going to drive it regularly? The Z06 is the best. Those cars are very well refined. I'd much rather "live with" a Z06
The Viper would be my 2nd choice as it's not as friendly. But It's definately not a somewhat common vette. It's got the power and exoctic looks.
The Ferrari, I donno... It's definately a "dream car" but sometimes dreams and reality are two different things. IMHO the cost of the Ferrari to purchase and own would steer me away. That's just me, WOT

I'd get the VIPER, you are getting one of those cars for sex appeal (of the car, not you) and performance.
well, they'll all perform.
The testarossa may be more exotic (ie sexier, but I wouldn't want to try to maintain a 2 year old ferrari, much less a 15 year old one!
the Z06 is an awesome all around car, but way too common. they blend right in with your run of the mill C5 in most people's eyes.
So that leaves the Viper, brute power and exotic looks for a decent price with a warranty.
just my .02
of course you could always ProCharge the Z06 for a 600RWHP sleeper, that might change my vote a little.

chris

Seems like the battle is between the Z06 and Viper...I'm leaning toward the Viper, since I love big motors and lots of torque. It also has an exotic look, can get decent mileage for long trips, and isn't too expensive.
I always think about the Ferrari, but it's gonna be a pain in more ways than one. The maintenance $ will get old, it's expensive but can be spanked by a modern 4 banger, and I don't think I'd use it much for fear of vandalism or theft.
I plan on using it for some long drives (700 miles round trip), mainly in good weather
Thanks for the e-pinions!

If it's a comfortable car for long trips that you want I would definitely stick with the Z06. That is unless you love rag tops, then the choice is clear. If you want to compare the 2 cars and not just here from us try a recent article from Motor Trend.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...vv/index4.html The only 2 major things that would be against you are: The heat of the viper engine cooks the driver and passenger as it iminates through the firewall and floor, you live in Texas and it is hot enough already. The side exaust is so loud you can't hear the radio, yes that is music to me also but not for 700 miles. You can't go wrong either way but the more liveable is the ZO6 while the occasional driver that grabs attentation is the Viper.

I'd get the Viper.
The Viper is exotic, reliable, and fast. Downside is it's a Dodge
The Z06 is too common and looks like any other vette.
The Ferrari is a very cool collectors car, but I wouldn't want to drive it anywhere. It's not reliable, expensive to fix and keep tuned.
The Viper is a good compromise of all three vehicles...IMO.
