'00 Viper GTS, '02 Z06, or '88 Testarossa?

I love the Ferarri's, but don't touch it unless it has a fully documented history. The need a clutch at about every 15k miles to a tune of $5k each time. They are usually faily cheap to buy but killer to maintain. For me the Ferarri would be a fun sunny day cruiser, the Viper more of an every day power house and the Vette has no real appeal.

None of the above.
Mercedes E55 AMG. $75k new. You could probably find a used one for less.
1. Chicks will be drooling over it (and the driver).
2. You'll smoke nearly every car on the street in the 1/4 mile (12.5 sec. stock).
3. Like riding in a Lazy-Boy on a long trip.
All out sports cars are kind of pointless unless you totally plan on taking it to the twisty tracks. On the street, they are no faster than the Benz.

Yup...
Another vote for the AMG. Mercedes allows mods with a wink and you can add even more power to those beasties quite easily.
It's a flat out beautiful beast, it doesn't have the raw musclularture of the Viper, but 9 out of 10 times it will out accelerate it out the street.
You can't beat having a warranty on a 500hp vehicle...
Coldie
PS: Since I've a shallower wallet, I've got the C32. Best car I've ever owned bar none. I'm a mercedes convert.

I really want to trade the truck in and get one of these now, the only thing I worry about is what my insurance would be like at 22. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2440114097
the 355 is still a killer car and any ferrari is classic and beautiful and everlasting.

Z06 all the way. Vipers are a handful to drive, and the interiors suck worse than anything else. As fast as they are, I just can't take them seriously. The Z06 is just such an incredible value, 3.8 from 0-60 and it can pull about 1G on the skidpad, all for a sticker of way less than $50K. It is happy doing any sort of racing. Testarossa would be cool, but I don't think it could touch the Z06. If you're looking for something more exotic......take a look at a nice used 911. Sweet sweet track ready car...
