Viva LAS VEGAS! i'm at SEMA!

Hi guys,
I just wanted to take a quick minute to say hello. I'm a long way from home. I'm at the MGM GRAND hotel/casino in Las Vegas. We got here Tuesday and are staying until Saturday morning.

First of all, everything in the place is HUGE and EXPENSIVE.

I'm having to pay $1.50 per minute to use the friggin' internet, so I've gotta type fast.

let me also say that Gambling is bad mmmmmkay.

I have already wasted way too much money.

anyway, about SEMA, it is freaking unbelievable. We have been here for two days and STILL haven't seen everything. The convention is ENORMOUS. and the cars are amazing.

by far the most popular showcars are 350Zs and H2s.

FORD is the featured marque this year so they have a huge display. I got to see the new GT , the new Mustang, and the new Lightning!

also saw a Ferrari Enzo, several Lambo Murcelagos, and a McLaren F1!

anyway, I've got to run, but I'll be home Saturday night with LOTS of pictures.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the WOMEN here are just UNBELIEVABLE!

Don't worry, I got plenty of pics of them as well.

Talk to you guys later.

look for pics on Sat or Sunday!

later,
chris

Yep, MGM and Vegas ROCKS!

We stayed for almost a week at NY, NY across the street and my brother's wedding reception back in July was on the 15th or 17th floor of the MGM on one of their high-end suites/patios.

You're right on the HUGE and EXPENSIVE part!

Enjoy SEMA!

Hey Chris thats cheap compared to what you can lose per minute at the tables. I went to Sema about 5 yrs ago and it was the best thing Ive ever been too. If anybody gets a chance to go, go you wont be let down.

Just got back. The Ford display was un-friggin-believeable. Genuine Gulf GT40 and Daytona coupe there among the priceless race cars on display.

SEMA standouts:

Ford. See above.

Brembo. Nearly every hot car was sporting Brembos.

Ricers. Nearly every hot street car was riced-out with "racing" decals on the front quarter panels. 9 out of 10 hot cars looked just plain overdone and stupid.

Asian chicks.

The "Dub" brand. They were advertising bigtime in the wheel/tire and SUV area. Yet the market gets dumber and dumber, with young white and Asian kids trying to be ghetto cool.

Trucks and SUVs. Had their own hall.

Superfords my sales team thanks you. Read your post earlier and decided to have a sales contest to Vegas. 4 days, 3 nights to the top sales person on my team!!!

I love Vegas, we had our annual company trip there for the last 2 years. I guess we are all degenerate gamblers

hey guys, me again, checking in.

went to the show again today and still didn't see everything. my legs and feet are tired.

had lunch with Liz Saleen. I asked her why they hadn't done a Lightning. she said it was one of John Colletti's favorites, so they didn't want to step on any toes.

Saw a black '03 Lightning in the parking lot at the Hilton, had something like "got boost racing" real big on the front bumper and Fun Ford weekend stickers still on it.

Like everyone said above, YOU NEED to find an opportunity to make it to this show, it is simply amazing.

you could probably spend hours looking at all of the details on most of the cars on display, but there is so much to see that you only have minutes or even seconds to look at each one and then move on.

did I mention the unbelievable women everywhere??? crazy stuff

I saw the SRT-10, got some under hood shots. got some dodge brochures, they are advertising 500hp/525ftlbs and 13.9@105

got lots more pictures today. very few if any lightnings that I saw though, except at the Ford booths.

um, there's more I want to say, but I've gotta run.

lost another couple hundred bucks tonight gambling sucks. just say no

good luck to everybody at SSOTN this weekend! hope for lots of new best times.

unfortunately I won't be home until saturday night so I can't make it up there to race or watch.

however I will be at MIR (maryland internation dragway/budds creek) on sunday for the IMPORT vs DOMESTIC showdown!

later,
chris

well guys, they just announced that the SEMA show is OVER. it's 4:00 Friday afternoon and they told everybody to get the heck out!

I'm telling you, I could have spent another entire day here looking around. it is that awesome.

I've got probably 300 or more pictures that I'll be putting up late tomorrow night (or Sunday) when I get back to VA.

I hate to say it, but I had to go through my camera and start deleting pictures of cars because there were soooooooo many fine ladies to take pictures of here.

oh, and after paying for internet at the hotel, I find out that there is a booth and you can use it for free here at SEMA.

anyway, I've got a cab to catch.

you guys should make plans to get here next year.

later,
chris

Take a look at the https://www.f150online.com/index.cfm for links to some 2004 F-150 pics...95% of the Ford trucks were, not surprisingly, 2004's...

I went to SEMA last year and the show needs to be 2 weeks to really see everything, I met one nodel out there that was making 1500 a day plus expenses per her boss (racing hart)
