Whats up guys, new here

Whats up everybody. I think in the near future im in the market for a Lightning.

This looks like a badass place for information. Im a gm guy at heart, i have a 97 Ws6 TA, Heads, Cam, headers, lt4 intake, and a Procharger.

It holds its own against ls1's 11.3 on bald bfg comp t/a's, id like to get some slicks and really launch it, but my rearend will most likely blow..

Cool board

Trevor

Trevor, just drive a Lightning and you'll be hooked .

We have plenty of ex- GM owners here among us. (as well as those who own both)

Your TA is sweet too, I always liked the sharp 97 nose.

Thanks for the compliments

I actually havent driven a lightning yet, but im going to this weekend, ive always thought they were so badass though.

I'll be most likley gettin rid of the old LT1 in favor of a Ls1 (since I fear a catostrophic engine faliure soon ) Thats just how it goes with running high boost huh. I saw that rod through the oil pan on a post on here earlier, that sucks, plus my car has 65,xxx miles. The lightning is gonna be my everyday driver.

My L is all I have... I wish I had another car with all the driving I do. It sucks.

Yea, the car is running REALLY nice right now.
I dont know if anyone here is familiar with the LT1 engine......

Its a wonderful engine with old technology, and fixing all the hesitaion/misfires/rough idle/optispark got old, so after it blew a head gasket stock, i put in a new cam, got the heads ported, and a few bolt ons here and there. Ran like a champ then, and got rid of the ignition woes. About 3 months later we bolted up a the D1 procharger, and it put out BIG #'s, 501 RWHP/485 RWTQ @ 11 PSI, and thats where I am now, TEARING THE TIRES OFF

Leann, I drive 152 mile round trip back and forth to work and I drive my 2000 Lightning. The L is the only way to go!

I love driving the L. I just wish I didn't put so many miles on it because I wanna keep it even when I get a gen 2.

It only has 57k miles
